The Round Norfolk Relay 2025
13-14th September 2025

RNR Changeover Access and Guidance

Overview

Over the last 4 decades the Round Norfolk Relay has grown in size, with some of the smaller changeovers highlighted in BLOCK CAPITALS below coming under increasing pressure due to the number of vehicles, participants and spectators. Long wheelbase vehicles have been identified as a specific problem at certain changeovers where space is limited as they can take up the same amount of space as 3 or even 4 cars.

If overcrowding persists we run the risk of losing certain key changeovers. None of our changeovers will be easy to replace, and rather than reduce the maximum number of teams from the current limit of 60 we have decided instead to introduce the following guidance and restrictions. Please take note!

Cars, SUVs and regular sized vans and minibuses are fine. But please avoid using long wheelbase vehicles during the Round Norfolk Relay as they will be turned away from the changeovers highlighted in bold below, and may be turned away from other changeovers or access points at the discretion of race officials and marshals pursuant to General Rule 3A.
